jess kent.

While this gorgeous girl amassed quite a following for her inspirational fitspo pictures it's her wardrobe that really gets me going. Jess currently works at a property development company called Aria Property Group. She started off doing reception work but has now progressed to property management.

"It’s a massive change to where I was 5 months ago. I worked at General Pants for 5 years before moving to my current job. It was a lot of fun and I was lucky enough to meet some incredible people who are now some of my dearest friends."

Yes, admittedly she could wear a sack and still look good, but it takes more than good looks to make an outfit look effortless and that’s what she does. And if great style isn’t enough, she is also one of the nicest people I know.

How do you afford your wardrobe?

"If I see something I want I literally can’t stop thinking about it until I have it sitting in my wardrobe – my mum's the same so I guess she passed that on to me. I am forever grateful for laybys! If I find something that I haven’t budgeted for that week I usually layby it then pay it off over a short period of time. I have a bit of a rebellious attitude when it comes to buying clothes at the moment. I figure I am at a stage in my life where I can be a little selfish and that isn’t going to last forever so I may as well take advantage of it while I can."

Who are your favourite designers?

"I absolutely love Australian designers - Maurie and Eve would have to be my favourite. Their price range is affordable and they create beautiful, quality pieces. I am obsessed with their AW14 collection; I recently bought a sleeveless turtleneck from their latest collection which is to die for. I also love Zimmermann and Bec and Bridge – I have bought a few dresses from them over the past few years which have been great for weddings or events because they never date. One Teaspoon is also a favourite, I have a lot of their denim shorts and jeans which I love as you can wear them all year round. I love teaming a pair of One Teaspoon shorts with boots and a knit during winter."

Style Icons.

"I feel like I need to mention Nicole Richie – I love her! She has probably had the biggest wardrobe overhaul in Hollywood. Seriously, props to her for completely transforming herself from tacky to classy. She always looks so effortless. I also have to mention Lily Collins. I adore her red carpet looks, plus I’m a sucker for a great pair of brows! Vogue Australia’s fashion editor Christine Centenera would have to be my number one favourite. That woman can pull off anything and has had such an influence on fashion in Australia as of late."

Currently on your wishlist.

"Oh gosh, what isn’t on my wish list at the moment?! It’s forever growing but the main items I am lusting after are:

-          Maurie and Eve Clarity Trench

-          Wittner Horacio Boots

-          Givenchy Antigona bag in woven leather (black)

-          Maurie and Eve Check Clarity jumper

-          Birkenstocks – Arizona in khaki

-          One Teaspoon London trashed firebird jeans

-          Stuart Weitzman Highland Boots"

Current must haves.

"Seeing as the months are getting cooler over here I have been buying a few chunky knits. I am obsessed with turtleneck knits at the moment and have bought a few which I now couldn’t live without. I also love a good chambray shirt and have a couple that I have been teaming with knitted jumpers lately."
