autumn/winter 2017 ready to wear.

It is hard for me to contemplate next Winter when we are barely through the first, and with an 18 degree day yesterday (and my wishlist summer labels on my mind) all I can really think about is the impending Summer.  But with Fashion month well and truly behind us (and before we put our Winter wardrobes away completely) I thought I should give a very brief summary of what I expect to be wearing when the next one rolls around.

I am a sucker for great outerwear and the Autumn/Winter 2017 Ready to Wear collections did not disappoint.  Too many amazing jackets and coats to chose from, but I managed to pick out a handful of favourites below.  Check seemed to be the fabric of the moment along with masculine silhouettes and belted waists.  On the bottom, the pants I loved were wide and luxurious. Chloe came through with my pick of bag (see below), along with Balenciaga and its extra large shoppers (reminding me of these giant plastic shoppers) - fashionable and functional.  Footwear wise, while the point is still very much alive (along with what I will label the sock bootie), we also saw the appearance of a squarer toe from some heavy hitters (think Gucci, Chanel and Louis Vuitton).  I will let the pictures do the rest of the talking.

Before I sign this off, I want to make mention of Mary Katrantzou, whose collection, yet again, should be framed and hung on a wall (read here).  Some of my favourite looks below:
